Restoring this monkey close to its original condition was possible because much of the original fur remained.
This monkey required a soapy bath, thorough cleaning, and painstaking fur restoration.
Repeated combing and brushing revealed more fur existed than was originally apparent, allowing us to restore him to his original look.

This monkey was loved down to his stuffing. Damage included:

The lack of availability of matching fabric and fur.

The owner did not want the stuffing to change or for the monkey to be overstuffed.
The owner gave us permission to use coordinating fur in the repair.
A process of loving repair resulted in a beautiful monkey
ready for many more decades of love.

The Case of Riley's Cat
This was one of the most extreme damage cases we have seen. Here's what we did.
Facial Reconstruction
New fabric, stuffing, reconstructing the structure of the face, adding an eye, repairing the nose, adding new whiskers, repairing the feet, reattaching an ear, and adding new fur. Repairing torn seams. Bathing, combing, refreshing existing body and tail.
Repairing and Restoring Fur
Fortunately, we were able to find fur that was nearly exact. This is not always the case. We cut the pink fur to match the size of the existing polka dots, then hand stitched them
to the green fur.
